Savannah in the Round, the beloved arts and music festival, has been honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Commitment to the Industry award at the 2024 Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TNQ) Tourism Industry Excellence Awards. The award, presented last week, acknowledges the festival’s significant contribution to the region’s tourism and cultural landscape.

Festival Director James Dein and Festival Manager Suzi Dein were on hand to accept the award, expressing their gratitude to the many individuals and organisations that help bring the festival to life.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition,” said James Dein. “It’s truly a team effort, and we owe this achievement to the incredible support from Tourism Tropical North Queensland, our amazing patrons, and the countless local legends who make Savannah in the Round a success year after year.”

As the festival looks ahead to the future, the team is already planning for an even bigger and better Savannah in the Round in 2025.

“This award has only inspired us to take things to the next level,” James Dein added. “We can’t wait to bring you the best Savannah yet. We’ll have even more incredible performances, community engagement, and, of course, the magic that makes Savannah in the Round so special.”

Savannah in the Round will return in 2025 with earlybird tickets on sale now. This year’s event headlined by international superstars Kip Moore and Tyler Hubbard was up 25% on previous years, bringing over 8,000 unique visitors to the picturesque region.
