Savannah In The Round has surprised everyone today by dropping their full timetable…. and slipped in the news that there’s a FOURTH stage of entertainment across the weekend of October 11-13 in the gorgeous Tropical Queensland’s Mareeba region.

Speaking to event organiser James Dein, Countrytown confirmed today that the fourth stage will host workshops, singer-songwriters, local artists and more.

“We are so proud of our huge lineup this year, but as a truly community event, we were blown away by how much talent there is in this region and wanted to make sure we could include as many locals as possible playing alongside these international superstars,” said Dein.

“This will allow us to welcome even more artists and give audiences a great opportunity to discover new artists. The Backyard stage is chock full of Queensland locals that we’re excited to platform.”

The festival’s main stage ‘The Cape’ is playing host to a massive crew of artists, led by US superstars Kip Moore and Tyler Hubbard alongside Aussie legends including Lee Kernaghan, James Johnston, The Living End, Hoodoo Gurus and Troy Cassar-Daley.

And it doesn’t stop there with The Wolfe Brothers, Hindley Street Country Club, Sheppard, Jon Stevens and possibly one of the last chances to see John Williamson in the Tropical north.

The Big Top more your style? Never fear, there’s line dancing from 8:30am to get you moving each morning before the incredible talent plays across the day. Don’t miss Lane Pittman, Max Jackson, Vika & Linda, Chocolate Starfish, Brooke and Adam, Melanie Dyer… The best thing about the scheduling is that the Big Top doesn’t clash with The Cape stage, so you’ve got plenty of opportunity to catch ALL of the headliners. After the Cape stage wraps up, the Big Top becomes the Far North’s biggest after-party with Dee Jay Bux spinning the tunes until the early hours on Friday and Saturday.

All the main-stage excitement too much for you? Well head on down to the Bull Bar for a quiet beer…. Oh who are we kidding? It won’t be quiet with artists like Brooke Schubert, Darlinghurst, Bondi Cigars, Route 33 and more. The bar will also be hosting its own after party this year with 19Twenty, Roadtrippers and Brooke Schubert doing encore performances around midnight.

When they call Savannah In the Round Tropical Queensland’s biggest party, they aren’t lying.

And of course as mentioned earlier, this year the Backyard stage will be bringing the locals to the yard. Catch sets from Jeremy Fletcher, Katy Richards Band, Pelicana, Blue Reed, Joan and the Giants and many more.

And there’s one final night of music for those lucky enough to be camping and arriving on the Thursday night. The live music will kick off at 5pm with Darlinghurst, Carinda Christie Band and more giving campers an early taste of the epic weekend they’re about to experience.

Savannah In The Round will return to Mareeba Rodeo Arena in the Cairns Hinterland October 11-13 this year. Tickets are selling fast too. With most buyers snatching up three-day season passes – and limited camping still available — you can head here to grab yours before they inevitably sell out.
