Sam Hunt And Wife Hannah Lee Fowler Welcome Baby Girl

Sam Hunt and his wife Hannah Lee Fowler have welcomed their first child together. 

He shared the news during a show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday night (June 7), casually telling the crowd they'd had a little girl named Lucy Lu.

He didn't give up the exact birthday, only saying she arrived a couple weeks ago. What is clear, however, is that Hunt is feeling a lot of gratitude as he embraces his new role as a father.

“I think being out here, and in the music business and being out on the road, has sort of hardened my heart,” the singer said. “My heart’s definitely harder in a lot of ways since I left that small town. It’s amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago.”

Fans first learned the couple were expecting a baby when Fowler filed for divorce back in February, citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.” She also requested child support and “transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in [the] future.”

The paperwork revealed that their baby was due in May. Just weeks before the arrival of their baby, the pair seemed to reconcile, and Fowler filed to call off divorce proceedings.

Hunt and Fowler first began dating in 2008. They wed in his native Cedartown, Georgia in April 2017, a few months after getting engaged and after dating on and off for years. In July 2021, Hunt told Audacy’s TC & Dina that he and Fowler were trying for a baby.

He said, “We’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now, and I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later."
