Sam Hunt Shows Off Newborn Daughter In Rare Personal Video

Sam Hunt’s newborn daughter, Lucy Lu, makes an appearance in the Water Under The Bridge singer’s family video he shared to social media on Monday, July 4.

The video also shows Hunt and his extended family enjoying some fishing, dancing, drinking beer and spending time together with John Anderson’s song Black Sheep playing over the footage.

Hunt first shared the news during a show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on June 7, casually telling the crowd that he and his wife Hannah Lee Fowler had welcomed their first child together. He didn't give up the exact birthday, only saying she arrived a couple weeks ago.

Fans first learned the couple were expecting a baby when Fowler filed for divorce back in February, citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.” She also requested child support and “transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in [the] future.”

The paperwork revealed that their baby was due in May. Just weeks before the arrival of their baby, the pair seemed to reconcile, and Fowler filed to call off divorce proceedings.

Hunt and Fowler first began dating in 2008. They wed in his native Cedartown, Georgia in April 2017, a few months after getting engaged and after dating on and off for years. In July 2021, Hunt told Audacy’s TC & Dina that he and Fowler were trying for a baby.

He said, “We’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now, and I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later."
