Sabrina Carpenter is set to make her Grand Ole Opry debut next month as the iconic institution continues its 100th anniversary celebrations.

The pop star will perform as part of the Opry 100 Birthday Show on Tuesday, 7 October, alongside Kameron Marlowe, Kaitlyn Butts (performing on Opry Nextstage), and Laci Kaye Booth, with more artists to be announced. You can find tickets to the show here.

Welcoming the Espresso singer, the Opry’s social media post reads, “Sabrina Carpenter is making her Opry debut! The two-time Grammy-award winning global superstar just released her 7th studio album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ and we can’t wait to welcome her to the Opry stage on October 7.

“See you soon, Sabrina!”

While Sabrina Carpenter is one of the biggest names in pop music today, that doesn’t mean that she isn’t inspired by country music. Her songs, such as Slim Pickins and Bad Reviews, have country influence within, with the instrumentation and songwriting receiving praise among country music fans.

Meanwhile, her song Please, Please, Please, which has been described as a “pop, disco-pop, synth-pop, country pop, alternative country, and yacht rock song,” was re-recorded with Dolly Parton earlier this year.

When Carpenter announced the release, she captioned her social media post: “Yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy shit!!!!!”

It’s also fair to note that Carpenter pulls from Parton for her image: Carpenter channelled “exaggerated sexuality and ‘50s pin-up glam” associated with Parton throughout the promotion of her 2024 album, Short ‘n’ Sweet.

Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating the release of her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend. The album debuted at #1 in numerous countries, including the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Canada, and many other countries.

In addition to her forthcoming Opry debut, Carpenter will host and perform for Saturday Night Live on Saturday, 18 October, and is set to headline Coachella next year alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G.
