The inaugural Newcastle-based music festival, Howlin Country, has grown with the addition of new international and local acts.
Making its debut in February 2025, ticketholders will be pleased to know that festival organisers have unveiled the set times. Thanks to the addition of new artists, the festival has become a two-stage event, with acts performing from 2 pm until 10 pm.
Kentucky-based singer-songwriter S.G. Goodman and Arkansas’ own folk-meets-Americana artist Willi Carlisle are leading the charge of new acts. They’ll be joined by local Newcastle artists Finnian Johnston, Hudson Rose, and breakthrough artist Sara Berki, who has enjoyed a massive year of accomplishments.
The newly announced acts join headliner Tyler Childers (USA), Brad Cox, Sons Of The East, and Taylor Moss.
Howlin Country will be held at the Newcastle Foreshore on Saturday, 15 February 2025.
Executive Director of Creative & Community Services at the City of Newcastle, Alissa Jones, said of the new event, “[The] City of Newcastle is a strong supporter of live music and committed to attracting and hosting major events.
