Starring Slim’s original touring band who have reunited to honour the Australian icon, the band are hitting the road after a 2024 tour of Victoria and southern New South Wales. In February and March 2025, the group will be touring across Queensland.

From there, the band will perform at the Roma Bungil Cultural Centre on Tuesday, 4 March, Blackall Cultural Centre on Wednesday, 5 March, Charleville Town Hall on Thursday, 6 March, Cunnamulla Shire Hall on Friday, 7 March, St George Cultural Centre on Saturday, 8 March, and end the tour at Goondiwindi’s O’Shea’s Royal Hotel on Sunday, 9 March.

Slim’s original Travelling Country Band—guitarist Jeff Mercer, bassist Rod Coe, drummer Doug Gallacher, and Mike Kerin on fiddle—went their separate ways after their final tour with Slim Dusty in 2002. However, their reunion was inspired by bringing Slim’s music back to life on stage, which is where singer and multi-instrumentalist Pete Denahy comes in.

The band are touring with the blessing of Slim’s family.
