Country singer Parker McCollum and his wife Hallie Ray Light celebrate a very important milestone together this week, with the birth of their son coming on 8th August.
The couple shared the happy news to socials on the special day, along with a string of photos of the family with their baby boy. McCollum revealed that the boy was named Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, sharing a middle name with McCollum’s dad – which is also his mum’s maiden name.
The name doesn’t come at a great surprise for fans of the couple, as McCollum was caught commenting potential baby names on his wife’s gender reveal announcement on Instagram.

When the couple revealed the news of the birth last week, McCollum expressed his joy in the comments, writing “Mom & Dad forever. I love you Hallie Ray and I love our Major Man!”
The Burn It Down singer and his wife first announced they were expecting back in February, with a beachside photo showing Hallie Ray’s baby bump. They married in March 2022, with McCollum admitting, "I couldn't wait to ask her to marry me. There was no backup plan and no hesitation. I didn't overthink one thing. I was like, 'It can't get any better than her.'"
McCollum’s most recent release was his fourth studio album, Never Enough, which arrived last May via MCA Nashville. In addition to Burn It Down, it featured the Platinum-certified Handle On You.
