All roads are leading to Mount Isa this May, with Outback Sounds shaping up as one of the biggest country music celebrations in regional Australia for 2026.
Set to take over Buchanan Park on Saturday 9 May, the one-day event promises a full throttle Outback party under the stars. Blending chart topping country acts with emerging stars, in a uniquely red dirt atmosphere that only North West Queensland can deliver.
Topping the bill is New Zealand country powerhouse Kaylee Bell, known for her commanding vocals and arena ready anthems, alongside Australian favourites The Wolfe Brothers, whose high energy live shows and country rock have made them festival staples across the country. Together, they anchor a line up designed to bring big stage energy to the heart of the Outback.
They’ll be joined by Zac & George, delivering crowd pleasing harmonies and laid back charisma, and acclaimed composer and multi-instrumentalist William Barton, whose extraordinary fusion of didgeridoo, voice and contemporary composition adds a powerful cultural dimension to the event.
Also on the bill is 2026 Trail Ambassador Taylor Moss, bringing her bright, fiery country sound to the stage, along with sibling outfit Homegrown Trio and newly crowned 2026 Toyota Star Maker Jarrad Wrigley, who both add breakout talent to the mix.
