A new country festival is making its way to Australia in early 2027, and the line-up is landing before we know it.
LONGHAUL Festival is taking place in January 2027, with the inaugural line-up being announced tomorrow—Tuesday, 21 July, at 8 am AEST.
At the time of publication, not much is known about the event, aside from the fact that it’s presented by LONGHAUL Touring, which describes itself as “the future of country music touring,” powered by tour promoters TEG Live.
LONGHAUL Touring also shared a teaser on its Instagram Stories featuring a Kacey Musgraves song. Is that one of the festival’s headliners locked in? If so, count us in!
The Ladies Love Country podcast also dropped some slight hints, revealing that the festival is stopping in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, and will feature acts who fans don’t often see at country music festivals in Australia.

Fresh from her acclaimed 2025 Australian tour in support of Deeper Well, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves looks set to return to Australia for LONGHAUL Festival.
While fans were treated to songs from Deeper Well alongside favourites from her Grammy-winning album Golden Hour on her last tour, this would be the first opportunity for Australian audiences to experience songs from Musgraves' latest album, Middle Of Nowhere, live.
Released in May this year, Middle Of Nowhere has been a runaway success, delivering Musgraves' biggest first-week sales and streaming numbers in years and cementing it as one of the year's standout country releases.
