Melanie DyerMelanie Dyer has been added to the SXSW 2026 Music Festival lineup in Austin, Texas - a huge moment for one of Australia’s brightest rising stars. SXSW (South by Southwest) is one of the world’s most celebrated live-music events and industry showcases, featuring thousands of performers from around the globe each March.
The 2026 festival runs from March 12 to 18 and just unveiled a massive second wave of artist additions including our very own Dyer among more than 300 new showcasing acts.
Dyer took to social media to share her hype about heading to Austin, writing that she’s excited to bring “some country music from the Land Down Under” to the festival and meet fans in Texas this March.
This news marks another milestone in Dyer’s steadily rising career. Before moving to Nashville, TN last year, she grew up on a farm in regional Australia and has built a reputation for writing personal storytelling songs with super catchy melodies, a style that’s earned her chart success at home and festival stages abroad.
Her breakout single Memphis T-Shirt topped the Australian Country Hot 50 Chart for six weeks, and she’s earned multiple APRA Award nominations and industry accolades.
