Luke Combs leads country wins at 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Dan + Shay take home the awards in country music at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, May 27.

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrated the biggest and best in music over the last year across all genres on Thursday, May 27. Hosted by Usher, the ceremony aired live out of the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Luke Combs was crowned ‘Country Artist of the Year’ and his album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get was judged ‘Country Album of the Year.’ The Bones by Maren Morris won ‘Country Song of the Year’ and Gabby Barrett was awarded ‘Best New Country Artist.’

Taylor Swift took home the ‘Best Pop Album’ award for folklore. The only country band in the category, Dan + Shay was presented the ‘Best Duo/Group of the Year’ win, beating out popular artists BTS, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5 and twenty one pilots.

The show also featured performances from The Weeknd with Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak (AKA Silk Sonic), Dan + Shay, Doja Cat, Usher and a special tribute to this year's iHeartRadio Icon Award recipient, Elton John, from Demi Lovato, Brandi Carlile and H.E.R.
