Luke Bryan has postponed two tour dates after offering refunds to everyone in the audience at his concert on Thursday (19 June).

Performing at Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas, the Country Girl singer admitted that he was having vocal issues. Rather than end the show early, he still sang for the rest of the night but promised fans that they’d be refunded for his performance, which he felt was less than impressive.

“This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life,” he told fans in videos you can watch below (per Country Now). “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time, I don’t know why.”

Bryan then referenced a 2022 show when his fellow Luke, Luke Combs, offered fans refunds after a rough show, which fans got to experience for free.

“I saw Luke Combs do this a couple of years ago when he was having a weird night onstage, and I said, ‘You know what? That’s pretty cool,’” Bryan recalled. “So, I don’t give a damn, I’m gonna refund everybody their tickets tonight and we’re going to keep doing the damn show, okay?”

Bryan was set to perform in Dallas, Texas, on Friday (20 June) and Lafayette, Louisiana, on Saturday (21 June). Those shows were rescheduled “due to illness” and will now, the Lafayette show will take place on 11 September, and the Dallas show on 12 September.

In September, Bryan released his eighth album, Mind Of A Country Boy. The record arrived four years after Bryan’s previous album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here. The new LP is a culmination of everything that makes Luke Bryan, Luke Bryan: country music, fishing, hunting, and life with his family.

“I think this album, as I’ve tried to do with all my albums, just has a little bit of everything,” Bryan explained upon announcing the album last year.

“I do some things different vocally on this one that I’ve not done before. It’s about each song having its place and having its meaning. It’s trying not to be overly redundant with songs. I think that’s why I’ve been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album’s going to do.”
