Lane Pittman is baring his soul on his latest single, Man I’m Turning Out To Be.

A song he debuted live on stage while opening for Luke Combs on the superstar’s recent Australian stadium run, and continued to play on his recent Fresh Country tour, Pittman has gotten personal with his fans in a gorgeous, moving tribute to his late father.

Man I’m Turning Out To Be has been released after four years in the making. Pittman honours his father in the song, which explores loss, growth, and the journey of growing up too fast.

Pittman describes the early writing sessions as a “trauma dump,” which occurred in Nashville alongside collaborators Lydia Sutherland and Aaron Pollock. However, the song became integral to the singer’s healing process, offering moments of reflection before growing into something anthemic and uplifting.

He said of the emotional new single, “This song has lived in my heart for a long time. I’ve tried to write something for my dad so many times, but it never felt right – until this. There’s real stories throughout this track, and if even one person finds peace or comfort in it, that’s enough for me. Dad, I love you. I hope I’m making you proud.”

You can check out Man I’m Turning Out To Be below.

Man I’m Turning Out To Be follows the success of Pittman’s recent single, Amen For The Weekend.

That track led to a string of television appearances (TODAY Show, Sunrise, Good Friday Appeal), impressive press coverage (The Music cover artist, Rolling Stone’s Future of Music), and a takeover of streaming services. At the inaugural Countrytown Awards, Pittman took home the award for Song of the Year for Amen For The Weekend.
