The Block: Fans vs Faves was up for ‘Most Popular Reality Program’ at the 62nd Logie Awards last night (Sunday, June 19), as the contestants ditched their hard hats and tool belts for full glam!

Kirsty Lee Akers and husband, Jesse Anderson were in attendance. Akers donned a Racy and Lucky custom-made black lace gown with daring sheer side panels, while Anderson opted for a complementary black suit with western details including big belt buckle and hat.

The couple, who recently celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary, wrote on social media, “Striking a pose on the [Logies] red carpet! Good luck to everyone tonight but especially our [The Block] team.”

They also captioned “Night made!!”, sharing photos with Gold Logie nominee, Karl Stefanovic.

The Block hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft also ditched their on-site work boots for a tuxedo and floor-length blue gown. Fans Vs Faves lost the award to Network 10’s Masterchef Australia.

Akers and Anderson competed on season 17 of The Block: Fans vs Faves and took home a profit of $301,523.67 when their Bronte Court property sold for $4.4 million at auction.

Since the series ended, Akers has released her sixth studio album, WILD – the first through their own independent label, Rider Records. The album hit #1 on the ARIA Australian Album and Country Albums charts as well as #11 on the All-Genres Album chart.

Furthermore, Akers and Anderson hosted the Golden Guitar Awards nominees announcement late last year, and have been producing The Kirsty and Jesse Podcast since March 23. Anderson has also returned to his videographer role and been filming Akers’ music videos.

Last month, the childhood sweethearts shared renovation plans for their Lake Macquarie home.
