Kelsea Ballerini Is The New Face Of CoverGirl

Kelsea Ballerini has been named the new face of CoverGirl.

Ballerini gushed about working with the beauty brand in a statement, “I’ve been a fan of CoverGirl for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had an iconic tube of CoverGirl mascara in my makeup bag, and I even wrote in my journal at age 14 that one day I dreamed of being a CoverGirl.”

She continued, “Makeup is another creative outlet for me, and I’ve always said if I wasn’t doing music, I would probably be a makeup artist! I’m excited and honoured to partner with CoverGirl, and I can’t wait to share more about my favourite products from the brand.”

Ballerini also shared a video of herself on Instagram singing a version of Covergirl’s “easy, breezy, beautiful” theme song. 

She captioned, “Being a [CoverGirl] has been on my bucket list since I was a little girl. They’ve always felt approachable to me through every age, phase of life, or occasion. From playing with makeup in middle school to getting ready for some of the biggest stages I’ve been lucky enough to perform on. It’s a full circle moment and I’m so happy to officially join the CG family.”

Ballerini's new venture with CoverGirl will be a multi-year partnership, and she will also be the face of a yet-to-be-announced collection from the brand, coming later in 2022.

Ballerini now joins a long list of icons who have also represented CoverGirl, including Faith Hill, Drew Barrymore, Pink, Rihanna, Zendaya, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

Ballerini will host the CMT Music Awards alongside actor Anthony Mackie on April 11. She is also nominated for three awards and will perform on the night.

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, throughout all of her many achievements, Ballerini has remained true-to-herself and relatable to fans and beauty aficionados everywhere. Ballerini began songwriting as a child and released her first studio album in 2015. 

She has since gone on to have major chart-topping success, with 25 gold and platinum certifications from the RIAA to date, garnered multiple GRAMMY Award nominations, a long list of award wins including most recently two CMA Awards in 2021, all accumulating to more than four billion total streams. Expanding her sphere of influence, she released her first original book of poetry Feel Your Way Through in 2021. She has been married to Morgan Evans since 2017.
