Keith Urban, Taylor Moss, Dylan Wright Nominated For ARIA Awards

It’s been another mammoth year for Australian music. This morning the 2025 ARIA Awards nominees were announced and it’s Australian Dance/Electronic artist Ninajirachi who leads with a record eight nominations.

Other artists such as Dom Dolla, Amyl and The Sniffers, Hilltop Hoods, Thelma Plum and more received multiple nominations.

Unlike previous years where we saw country artists nominated in multiple categories, this year, it’s not the same story. In 2024, Troy Cassar-Daley received nominations for Best Country Album (for Between The Fires), Best Cover Art and Best Solo Artist. And back in 2023, we saw Brad Cox receive a nomination for Best Country Album (for Acres), Best Cover Art and Best Australian Live Act for his Acres Tour. Not this year though.

This year’s Best Country Album category did come in clutch, with a field that is stacked with talent. First time nominees include Dylan Wright with Half a World Away, Imogen Clark with Chokin on Fuel and Taylor Moss with Firecrecker.

They join ARIA veterans Kasey Chambers who received a nod for Backbone and Keith Urban for his 2024 release of HIGH. Chambers has won a total of 14 ARIA Awards, making her one of the most awarded artists in ARIA history; she was also inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2018. Urban has 4 ARIA Awards to his name.

Despite the glaring lack of country music representation outside of the Best Country Album category, The Wiggles did receive a nomination for Best Children’s Album for their country music inspired album Wiggle Up, Giddy Up!, which features collaborations with some of the biggest names in country music including Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Evans and more.

The ARIA Awards will take place on Wednesday, 19th November at the Horden Pavillion and be broadcast live on Paramount+ and Channel 10.
