You just never know who might show up at the Grand Ole Opry

On Saturday the 14th December, Andrew Farriss, founding member of the iconic Australian rock band INXS made his Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville, Tennessee.

Unbeknownst to the crowd, Keith Urban was eagerly waiting backstage to come out and join Farriss on stage to perform a show stopping rendition of one of the greatest INXS hits of all time: Never Tear Us Apart.

The incredible moment saw the two Australian rock icons side by side, with guitars in hand, singing the classic anthem to a full house in Nashville, Tennessee.

Farriss shared on Instagram before taking to the stage, “Excited to be on stage tonight at the legendary Grand Ole Opry. It’s always a special feeling stepping into a place with so much history, and I can’t wait to share some new music with you all. See you tonight!”

Over the last 32 years, Farriss and his family have owned and operated a cattle and grains farm in northwest New South Wales, Australia. His music has developed inspiration from the rural lifestyle, the rugged nature of the land, and the authentic storytelling spirit of country music.

The stunning performance comes as Urban gets ready to tour Australia in August 2025 on his High & Alive World Tour.

The four-time Grammy winning artist is set to perform in arenas across Australia, including stops in Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

The tour will also feature US special guest Chase Matthew as the opening act, who will be performing his first-ever Australian shows on the High & Alive tour.
