New Zealand’s own Kaylee Bell is embarking on her first-ever headline tour of Australia this May, lining up dates in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Despite recently making history at the CMA Awards in Nashville, skyrocketing up charts in the US, steadily releasing new music and starring on The Voice Australia in 2019, this is Bell’s debut headline tour down under. With all the hype surrounding her, these dates are expected to sell out.

“Australia… we are coming to play my first Headline Tour this May, and we can’t wait to see you,” she wrote on Instagram today. Bell’s Nights Like This Australian tour begins on Thursday, 23 May, at Brisbane’s The Brightside, followed by Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday, 24 May, and wraps up at Melbourne’s Howler on Saturday, 25 May.

This may very well be the last time fans can witness Bell in intimate venues, so lock in tickets once they go on sale via the Live Nation website on Thursday, 1 February, at 9 am AEDT.

Since being crowned the 2013 Toyota Star Maker, Bell has become the Australasia region's Most Streamed Female Country Artist, amassing over 40 million streams. She’s the first Independent Female Country Artist winner since Kasey Chambers to be awarded ARIA Gold for her 2021 The Red EP, which features the chart-topping, The Voice-famous Keith – which Bell sang to Keith Urban himself.

Keith became a global hit last year, gaining more than 60 million TikTok plays and over 20 million Spotify plays, hitting #12 on the US Billboard Charts for Country Digital Sales and spending five weeks at #1 on the Australia Country Radio Official chart.

“To make the Billboard charts in the US is behind my wildest dreams, and to do this as an independent and self-managed artist with no label, etc., just means that this song is genuinely connecting with people, which is the best part,” Bell told Countrytown in October.

“All I’ve ever wanted to do was make music that connects with people and play live, and this is reassurance that I am on the right path.”

In addition to her chart success and musical growth, Bell had the opportunity of a lifetime to open for Ed Sheeran in New Zealand last year.

Kaylee Bell is the first artist from New Zealand to win the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award and the second New Zealand-born country artist since Keith Urban to take home a CMA Award. You can watch the music video to Bell’s latest music video, Life Is Tough (So Am I) with NAVVY, below.
