"Next thing you know, you got a baby coming in June," Davis sings in the social media video that the couple shared announcing they were expecting their third child in late February.
Elijah Patrick joins older siblings 3-year-old Eloise Larkin, born in November 2019, and 1-year-old Lochlan Joseph, whom they welcomed in September 2021.
The latest arrival has forced Davis to reschedule his June 16 show at The Rave/ Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to September 14.
He wrote, “Our 3rd child, Eli, finally made his appearance into the world, and we couldn’t be more excited. That being said, unfortunately I will be postponing my show in Milwaukee to stay home, but we’ll see y’all 9/14. Very thankful for all the well wishes and prayers. Proud to be Eli’s Dad.”
Davis released his second album, Bluebird Days on February 17. The project includes his multi-week, 2x Platinum #1 single, Buy Dirt, which earned Davis his first ‘Song of the Year’ win last week at the 2022 CMA Awards.
“It’s been an evolution, and not just from a songwriting standpoint,” Davis shared with Bobby Bones on American Songwriter about the process of creating Bluebird Days with Producer Paul DiGiovanni, who also produced his debut album, Home State. Adding, “Everything matches the song… letting the song be a song and letting the lyrics lead it. Nothing feels forced. To me, it’s an album expressing exactly where I’m at right now.”
