More Jelly Roll More Jelly Roll

When Jelly Roll appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience on December 10,  he expected a regular sit-down episode, but instead he got life changing news. During the episode, host Joe Rogan played a video message from country music veteran Craig Morgan: “Jelly Roll, you’re officially invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Welcome to the family, brother.” The moment hit like a freight train, Jelly Roll broke down in tears, asking Rogan for a hug.

Morgan’s words weren’t just hype. He acknowledged Jelly Roll’s journey from dark chapters to chart-topping hits and said the singer’s work had made “a positive difference … to so many people who need the help.”

For Jelly Roll, the Opry has always represented something much bigger than just a stage. He talked about once buying tickets just to see Morgan perform. The song Almost Home hit him the hardest during those rough times. “I cried and cried,” he remembered. Now, he’s living the dream he once barely believed possible.

He didn’t underplay how much this recognition means. “It don’t get no bigger in country music, bubba,” Jelly said through tears. “It’s as big as it gets.”

Since first stepping on the Opry stage in 2021, Jelly Roll has turned heads with his mix of country, rock, rap and raw honesty. The official invitation marks a moment where the outsider becomes part of country’s most sacred institution. It’s not just a win for him. For many fans who’ve rooted for him through the highs and lows, it feels like a collective victory: a second chance well deserved, memory made.

Other artists flooded the comments of Jelly Roll’s post with their congratulations, Brantley Gilbert wrote “It’s been a long time comin’! So proud of you, brother.”, Jessie Jo Dillon added “JELLY I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!! not too bad for a kid from antioch” and our very own Kaylee Bell said “This is so cool!!!! Congrats my friend“.
