Jelly Roll is a busy man, and he’s about to get busier: the Son Of A Sinner singer is set to make his acting debut this year.
While Jelly Roll appeared on the Taylor Sheridan series Tulsa King last year – alongside Sylvester Stallone, no less – he had a cameo appearance as himself, shaking hands with the cast before entering a mini studio to sing I Am Not Okay. He also locked in a mentor slot on American Idol last year.
This time, he’s going to make his acting debut as a fictional character in the popular CBS series, Fire Country. Jelly Roll will star in the TV show as a hospital orderly named Noah.
In a promo featuring the singer, Jelly Roll tells series creator Max Thieriot, “From the stage to the fire line, it’s time to see if I can keep up.” He added, “Man, this is tougher than the Grammys.”
The episode is scheduled to air on Friday, 11 April. Check out the promotional video below.

Jelly Roll isn’t the only country singer to feature on Fire Country. In 2023, Kane Brown made his acting debut on the series. He played Robin, a character who train-hopped and ended up coming to the aid of injured patients.
Next month, Jelly Roll will perform to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry. That performance comes after the singer recently appeared at the LA FireAid benefit concert alongside Gwen Stefani, Green Day, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Joni Mitchell, Dave Matthews Band & John Mayer, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and a surprise reunion from Nirvana.
Starting next month, Jelly Roll will be touring across the US in support of his latest album, Beautifully Broken. He’ll be a special guest on tour with Post Malone in May and June, promoting his country LP F-1 Trillion. You can find all of Jelly Roll’s upcoming tour dates here.
