Keith Urban is headed for sun-soaked grooves on 'Flow State', a yacht rock inspired album dropping on June 12.

He told us in March he was planning on a yacht rock album and he was not kidding. The global superstar has officially announced his 13th studio album Flow State will be released on June 12.

To kick things off, Urban has already dropped two tracks from the project: the original We Go Back featuring the legendary Michael McDonald, and a reimagined take on Seals & Crofts’ classic Summer Breeze. Together, they set the tone for what’s shaping up to be one of his most unexpected releases yet.

Known for his electric guitar work and arena ready country hits, Urban is taking a detour on this album, revisiting the smooth, sun-drenched sounds of yacht rock and giving them a modern polish.

Flow State doesn’t just dip a toe into nostalgia, it dives in. Alongside covers of classics like Baby Come Back and Just the Two of Us, the album features collaborations with some seriously iconic names, including Little Big Town, John Mayer, and McDonald.

Urban says the project is about more than just revisiting a sound, it’s about capturing a feeling.

“The origins of this kind of music was, in certain ways, a reaction and an antidote to the stresses of the times. Its sole mission (and soul mission) is unchanged…to bring us together and remind us that life is happening NOW - the eternal now - and we have far more in common than not.
