Drake and The Weeknd didn't submit any music to the Grammys for consideration.

Voting for the 2023 Grammy Awards begins today, and the submissions are already notable news.

Taylor Swift is submitting Red (Taylor's Version) in the Album Of The Year and Best Country Album categories. Meanwhile, she also submitted the infamous All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film) to the Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year categories, as well as I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Red was nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Country Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards but won neither. Her new album, Midnights, is out next Friday.

Silk Sonic are refraining from submitting their album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, for Grammy consideration. In a statement to Rolling Stone, Bruno Mars said, "We truly put our all on this record, but Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually, bow out of submitting our album this year. We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive."

An Evening With Silk Sonic was released in November 2021 - the cut-off for Grammy eligibility was October 1, 2021 – September 30, 2022, for this year's ceremony, making the duo ineligible to submit to the 2022 Grammys - and was expected to be a top contender for Album Of The Year at the 2023 event.

"Andy and I, and everyone that worked on this project, won the moment the world responded to Leave The Door Open. Everything else was just icing on the cake," Mars said. "We thank the Grammys for allowing us to perform on their platform — not once but twice — and awarding us at last year's ceremony. We'd be crazy to ask for anything more." Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. followed their statement by thanking Silk Sonic for being a "fun highlight" at the last two shows.

Beyoncé is eyeing her first nominations in the best dance/electronic categories. She has submitted Renaissance for Album Of The Year and Best Dance/Electronic Album and Break My Soul to the Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Dance/Electronic Recording categories. Beyoncé has won 28 Grammy Awards and received 79 nominations - most in the main Album, Record, and Song Of The Year groups and the R&B, pop, rap, and rock genres.
