Gord Bamford Announces 'Just Getting Started' 2024 Australian Tour

Canadian/Australian country star Gord Bamford will return to Australia this October and November, playing a string of outdoor festival gigs and headline shows in numerous cities.

Starting the tour in Newcastle on Thursday, 17 October, Bamford then heads to Sydney, Goombungee and Broadbeach (Queensland), Morwell, Mt Evelyn, and Geelong (Victoria), Campbelltown, Wollongong, Mingara, and Queanbeyan (New South Wales), wrapping up in Hobart, Tasmania.

Touring with his Canadian band, Bamford will be accompanied by special guest Max Jackson – the 2022 Toyota Star Maker winner. Bamford will also perform alongside The Wolfe Brothers, Lee Kernaghan, Gina Jeffreys, The Buckleys, and more for the festival shows.

On his upcoming tour, Bamford said, “I will also be hooking up with my good mates, The Wolfe Brothers, for a couple of shows, which I really look forward to. We go back a few years now, and they have been a great support to me in Australia, having me on their tours, and they have also done a few shows here with me in Canada.”

On performing new music on the tour, Bamford added, “Bringing my new music to Australia has been sitting at the top of my wish list for a long time. I am so happy and excited to now have the opportunity to tour and to connect with Australian audiences again.

“To be able to visit the country of my birth and to play my music, there is a gift that means so much to me. The shows in 2023 were all amazing, and I can’t wait to come back down under in October 2024.”

Born in the Gippsland area of Victoria, Bamford moved to Canada with his mother at age five following the breakdown of his parents’ marriage. 2025 marks his 25th year in the music industry, which has seen the singer release ten albums, achieve 28 Top 10 singles, and more.
