There’s a new festival on the block, and it’s already shaping up to be a must-do on the country music calendar. The inaugural Legends of Country festival is heading to Woodstock Farm in Tamborine next Saturday, May 31, and it's bringing a truckload of top-tier talent with it.

Aussie legends Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Sara Storer and Casey Barnes will be joined by Wesley Dean, Briana Dinsdale and Rusty Pickups for a day of dancing on the green.

Here’s everything you need to know about South East Queensland’s newest country music celebration.

1. It’s All For A Good Cause

Legends of Country isn’t just a party in the paddock - it’s a festival with heart. All profits from the event will go directly back to the Youth Enterprise Trust (YET), a local charity focused on giving young people hands-on experience in land care, environment, and entrepreneurship. YET owns the festival venue Woodstock Farm, and uses it to facilitate workshops with youth.

So when you buy a ticket, you’re not just getting access to some of the country’s best artists - you’re helping create opportunities for the next generation.

2. Buses Are Sorted (So You Don’t Have To Be)

Don’t want to worry about driving or parking for the day? You’re in luck. Bus services will be running from Helensvale, Brisbane CBD, Ipswich and more surrounding areas, with return options available once the music wraps up.

It’s just $42 for a return trip (MUCH cheaper than an Uber), which means you can enjoy the whole festival without having to nominate a deso.

3. The Festival Site Is Something Else

If you haven’t heard of Woodstock Farm yet, you’re about to. Tucked away in the Scenic Rim, this 121-hectare property is set against the rolling hills of the Gold Coast hinterland. It’s rustic, picturesque, and tailor-made for a festival like this.

There’s plenty of open space, a natural amphitheatre feel, and a real connection to the land - making it one of the most exciting new venues on the Aussie music festival scene.

4. You Won’t See These Legends On The Same Bill Anywhere Else For This Price

Let’s talk lineup. Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Casey Barnes, Sara Storer - it’s a ‘who’s who’ of Aussie country royalty. Add in stars like Wesley Dean, Briana Dinsdale, and Rusty Pickups, and you’ve got a festival that punches well above its weight.

For just $149 a ticket, working out to be $21 per artist, that’s a serious bargain. It’s rare to see so many big names sharing the same stage, especially at a first-time event.

5. It’s All Happening In One Day

Some festivals stretch out over a whole weekend, but Legends of Country keeps it simple. One stage, one day, and a tight, no-filler schedule from midday until late. That means no clashes, no confusion - just back-to-back great music and good vibes from start to finish.

If you’re keen to support a good cause, see some of the best artists in the country, and spend a day in one of the most scenic spots in Queensland, Legends of Country might just be your next favourite festival.
