Eric Church Confirms 2027 CMC Rocks Sideshows

Eric Church will make the most of his debut trip to Australia, plotting a pair of sideshows for 2027.

Just days after confirming his debut Australian appearance as part of the 2027 CMC Rocks line-up, North Carolina legend Eric Church has announced a pair of headline dates while in the country.

Announced today, Church will be maximising his time in Australia by heading along to both Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday, March 13 and Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on Tuesday, March 16th for a pair of headline shows.

At both dates, he’ll be joined by fellow CMC Rocks performer and Australian debutante, Texan musician Parker McCollum.

Tickets to Eric Church's upcoming tour on sale from 12pm local time on Thursday, October 1st, with Frontier Member and Church Choir presales running 22 hours from 1pm local time on Wednesday, September 30th.

Church made his musical debut in 2005 as a songwriter before carving out his own career as a solo artist the following year.

2006 debut Sinners Like Me and 2009 follow-up Carolina both charted modestly on the US charts, but it was 2011's Chief where audiences truly began to sit up and take notice. It topped both the US and US Country charts – a feat he repeated with 2014's The Outsiders, which also debuted at No. 23 in Australia.

Since then, Church has been a constant figure on the live scene and on the charts, with his most recent album, Evangeline vs. The Machine arriving in May of 2025. His latest single, fittingly titled On The Road, arrived earlier this month.

Despite his rising international following, Church had somehow managed to evade Australian shores until now. “Australia, we heard you, and we’re on our way,” Church said upon his latest announcement.

“It’s been a long time coming, and we’re damn excited to finally bring this show to you. We’re gonna pack as much as we can into these nights, so come early, stay late and let’s make up for lost time.”

Last week, he was announced on the line-up for the special 20th anniversary edition of the CMC Rocks festival.

Serving as a headline act alongside Brooks & Dunn and Ashley McBryde, the impressive line-up boasts a strong selection of local and international names, including Turnpike Troubadours, Rachael Fahim, Kameron Marlowe, and many more.
