With multiple upcoming releases and a growing presence in editorial playlists, Dear Tommie is poised to make a significant impact in 2025. Her blend of earthy storytelling and contemporary sound makes her an artist to watch in the evolving landscape of Australian country music. Today we share the news that she has signed with the Mushroom Booking Agency (MBA)

Founded by Matt Gudinski and Guven Yilmaz in 2023, MBA is a booking agency dedicated to shaping the live touring careers of artists across Australia and New Zealand.

Across all musical genres, MBA’s vision is to foster and amplify the growth of artists’ careers by utilising its unmatched experience and network. This is an incredible timing with the recent announcement of “Michael's Rule," a policy initiative that mandates that all international music tours in Australia include an Australian act as an opening act on the same stage, using reasonable sound and lighting, and announced at the same time as the tour.

Dear Tommie is in fine company with the likes of Kaylee Bell, Y.O.G.A, Vera Blue who are also a part of the MBA roster.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Dear Tommie. She has such a strong artist direction, and we look forward to collaborating more with her to build an impactful live career”. Says a spokesperson from the Mushroom Booking Agency.

Hailing from Tamworth, Australia's country music capital, Dear Tommie is rapidly establishing herself as a formidable force in the Australian country music scene. Her debut single, Winter in July, is an Australiana take on the Zac Brown Band's Colder Weather. The song delves into the complexities of falling in love with a man who possesses a gypsy soul, only to realize that what she sought was within her grasp all along.

Dear Tommie's musical influences are evident in her work. Inspired by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Megan Moroney, and Zach Bryan, she brings a fresh perspective to the genre. Beyond her performance career, Dear Tommie has made significant contributions behind the scenes. She co-produced Bella Mackenzie's hit song Cowboy, which achieved a Top #5 ranking on Australian Country Radio.

You can catch Dear Tommie on May 30 supporting US artist Cody Pennington at Manning Bar in Sydney.
