Country music shined at the American Music Awards last night with Taylor Swift and Dan + Shay walking away with three awards each!

Country music shined at the American Music Awards (AMA) last night as Taylor Swift extended her lead as the most awarded artist in the events history and Dan + Shay walked away with a massive three awards.

Taylor Swift was awards the major award of Artist Of The Year, following the release of her acclaimed album 'Folklore'. She also earned Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Video for cardigan. She's won 32 AMAs in her career.

"The reason I’m not there tonight is I’m actually recording all of my old music in the studio where we originally recorded it. So it’s been amazing and I can’t wait for you to hear it.” Said Taylor via video message.

Dan + Shay took home a massive three awards including Collaboration Of The Year for their single 10,000 Hours featuring Justin Bieber. They were also awarded Favorite Duo Or Group in the country genre and Favorite Song in the genre for 10,000 Hours.

A bunch more country music artists shined at the American Music Awards, Kane Brown won Favorite Male Artists and Maren Morris won Favortie Female Artist for the country genre. Blake Shelton was awards Favorite Country Album for 'God's Country'.
