Morgan EvansCountry music fans, it might be time to lock in a North Queensland trip, because Country Fest QLD is officially back and the 2026 lineup is doing the absolute most.
Set to take over Cluden Park across June 12 and 13, the two day festival is being positioned as a major moment for the region, headlined by country star Morgan Evans. He’ll be joined by a heavy hitting lineup of local favourites and rising acts, marking what organisers are calling “the beginning of a new chapter for Country Fest QLD in Townsville.”
“We are excited to mark the beginning of a new chapter for Country Fest QLD in Townsville & so excited to bring this year’s festival lineup to Townsville, featuring an exciting mix of global artists and local talent,” festival organisers said.
And it’s not just about the music. The event promises a full festival experience with market stalls, food vendors, kids’ rides, plus the Carmichael Ford Entertainment Stage, which will host everything from line dancing to food eating competitions. Jack’s Saloon by Jack Daniel’s will also be running across the weekend, bringing a honky-tonk vibe with country DJs and solo artists.
“In these changing times, we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to roll out the festival in 2026,” organisers added. “We understand that it’s a challenging period for many of our ticket holders, and we are truly grateful for your continued support. We anticipate it will deliver an amazing new experience for Townsville and create something truly special for local audiences.”

For the artists, the excitement is just as real. James Johnston said, “I’m so pumped to be heading back to Country Fest this June. It’s been a few years since I’ve played in Townsville and I can’t wait to get back up there and party with you all, especially with a bunch of great mates on the lineup.”
Local leaders are also backing the festival as a major win for the region. Claudia Brumme said, “Townsville knows how to put on a show, and this will be an amazing weekend for those who love all things country.”
Townsville Mayor Nick Dametto echoed the sentiment, saying, “Townsville loves country music, I’ll be among thousands of North Queenslanders pulling on the Ariats for Country Fest Queensland this June.”
“Headlined by Australia’s own Morgan Evans and a star-studded list of headline acts, as well as local performers, market stalls, and even kids’ rides, the festival has something for the whole family,” he said. “We’re proud to attract major events like this to our city, showcasing Townsville as the events capital of northern Australia. It gives us a chance to kick up some dust and enjoy some world class entertainment while also delivering tourism and economic benefits to our region.”
With kids aged 0–9 entering for free and a lineup that blends big names with emerging talent, Country Fest QLD is shaping up to be more than just a weekend of music, it’s a full-scale destination event.
