CMC Rocks has been an important date on the Australian music calendar since 2008, beginning in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, before heading to the Hunter Valley, and then on to its home in South East Queensland. Bringing artists including Lady A, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw to Australia, CMC Rocks is known for attracting the highest local and international calibre talent year on year.
In 2019, CMC Rocks sold out in 90 minutes. The festival also sold out on its first day of sale in 2017 and 2018, respectively. CMC Rocks was postponed in 2020 and 2021, citing international travel restrictions from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
