'Truth' is set for release on September 30.
Golden Guitar and CMC Award winner, Christie Lamb has announced her brand new album, Truth, is set for release on September 30.
For Lamb, this has been a busy year with the arrival of her first baby and her fourth studio album due within weeks of each other. Produced by Stuart Stuart, the album was recorded remotely between Stuart’s Brisbane studio and Lamb’s home in Sydney.
She says, “When writing the songs for this album, I wanted to challenge myself whilst being entirely true to myself. I wanted to go deeper and more personal than I’ve ever gone before. This album is definitely about me growing as a person and an artist. I have written the songs on this album from life experiences, my heart, and my truth”.
The album features the radio hits Kiss About It, Up All Night, Beat Of My Own Drum and the new single Three Chords And A Woman’s Truth. Co-written in Nashville by Lamb with Jonathan English and Victoria Banks, the latest single is an ode to the strong women that Lamb has admired.
Lamb says, “I was thinking about my truth and all of my influences over the years. I wanted this song to combine my life story with all queens of country that I grew up listening to like Dolly, Tammy, and Loretta. My teenage years were influenced by Shania, Carrie, and Gretchen, along with some of my favourite Aussie ladies including Kasey, Beccy, Gina and Tania.”
She adds, “This song has many artists and song titles woven into my personal story. I wanted to celebrate all these strong female country singers in this song and let them know how they have influenced me in my life and music too.”

In 2019, she released her third studio album, Broken Lines which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Album Chart and #1 on the ARIA Country Album Chart. The first single Hot Hot Kiss debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Charts. Lamb has toured relentlessly with her own dates across Australia and New Zealand and is quite the regular face on the festival scene. She has been a part of national tours with Lee Kernaghan for years, opening the show and playing piano and mandolin as part of his band. Earlier tours have included two years with Aussie legend Jon English as the lead female vocalist and musician on ‘The Rock Revolution’ tour, ‘The Girls of Country’ tour with Amber Lawrence and Aleyce Simmonds, plus ‘This Crazy Life’ tour with The Wolfe Brothers.
Lamb has released 19 singles to radio in the past 11 years and is now focusing on the release of Truth before heading back out on the road with her own tour dates plus festivals to finish the year.
