Chris Young Leads 2022 ACM Award Nominations!

Following the announcement earlier this week that Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett would be co-hosting the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards alongside Dolly Parton, the ACM Award nominations are here!

Chris Young leads with seven nominations, of which three he shares with his collaborator Kane Brown for their hit song, Famous Friends. Miranda Lambert, the most-nominated female artist in ACM history, earned five nominations this year, including a record-tying 16th nod in ‘Female Artist of the Year’ category, of which Reba McEntire previously held the sole record.

Walker Hayes, a first-time nominee, was also nominated five times. Jordan Davis, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen earned four nominations each, while Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Dave Cobb, Ashley McBryde and Lainey Wilson were each recognised three times.

American actress, Blake Lively earned two nominations, her first nods at a music awards show, for producing and directing Taylor Swift's music video for I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version). Swift's brother, Austin Swift, was also nominated for his work as a producer on the video, while the singer herself nabbed her first ACM nomination since 2018.

First held in 1966, the Academy of Country Music Awards is dedicated to honouring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent in country music. This year’s show promises to be a non-stop party, bringing legendary artists together with today’s favourites and will feature exciting performances, unprecedented collaborations, surprising moments and more with a show so big, only a stadium can hold it.

The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards will stream live without commercial interruption on Prime Video in Australia on Tuesday, March 8 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The show will make history as the first major awards show to livestream exclusively, streaming live on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
