Carrie Underwood Shows Off Sentimental New Tattoo

Carrie Underwood has shown off a sweet new bit of ink, which she had done on a girls’ trip she took to Destin with some of her closest friends.

Posting photos of herself with the new tattoo – a simple daisy, flecked with purple, on her left forearm – Underwood called her trip-mates “sisters… not by blood… but sisters nonetheless”. She further gushed of them: “God truly showed us great favor by putting us all together. These ladies are strong, kind and faithful and I’m so happy I get to do life with them!!! It’s true that you don’t get to choose your family, but if I could, I would choose these exact three women to be my sisters-in-law!

“From the beach to the tattoo parlor, Destin didn’t know what hit it! I love you ladies!!!”

As shown in another photo, Underwood’s sisters-in-law had similar tattoos done, one being a trio of doves and the other a different stalk of flowers. You can have a look at all the photos from the trip here.

Last June saw Underwood release her ninth studio album, Denim & Rhinestones. She chased that up with a live EP (recorded for the Apple Music Sessions series) the following month, with a new standalone single, Out Of That Truck, arriving back in March of this year. Just a few weeks later, she appeared on a stacked lineup of artists performing at A Night Of Joy, a benefit concert honouring the victims of a recent school shooting in Nashville.
