Carly Pearce, Mickey Guyton & More Join LeAnn Rimes For CMT Crossroads

LeAnn Rimes will celebrate her 25 year career and preview new music in the upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads: LeAnn Rimes & Friends, slated to air Thursday, April 14 on CMT.

Featuring a powerhouse line-up of Ashley McBryde, Brandy Clark, Carly Pearce and Mickey Guyton, the all-female concert event will celebrate Rimes’ 25th career anniversary and recognise the path she blazed forward for women in all genres. The 90-minute special will also spotlight several of Rimes’ hits and preview new music from her forthcoming album, god’s work.

Guyton shared on social media, “LeAnn Rimes is one of my biggest inspirations. I couldn’t be more excited to join her on CMT Crossroads to celebrate her 25thh career anniversary.”

You can get a taste in video below of McBryde, Pearce and Rimes singing One Way Ticket (Because I Can). Written by Judy Rodman and Keith Hinton, the track was the third single from Rimes’ 1996 debut album Blue. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Songs chart, making Rimes only the fourth teenaged country music artist to score a #1 on that chart.

And to share the stage with women who are each so unique and truly standing in their own magnificence, to get to hear firsthand how I have, in some special way, influenced their artistry… it was humbling and special. This is such an expansive year for me, from my new album release later this year to my upcoming tour, and I could not think of a better way to kick it all off than to celebrate the past, present and future with this memorable show.”

A 3x CMT Music Awards nominee, Rimes first took home her first trophy in 2008 (‘Collaborative Video of the Year’ with Bon Jovi) and has shared many unforgettable performances on CMT stages throughout her career. Rimes also teamed up with Joss Stone for a highly praised CMT Crossroads episode.
