Country singer Brooke Eden has revealed her wife Hilary Eden Hoover’s pregnancy in a gorgeous photo.

“We were in our kitchen and just held each other and cried for ten minutes,” Eden recalled upon finding out her wife was pregnant in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

Offering a statement to the press, she added, “I looked at the [pregnancy test] about a hundred times, and then, of course, we were waiting to confirm it a hundred per cent with the doctor. And when we got that news, we were both so elated and just the happiest ever.”

Hoover is currently entering the second trimester of her pregnancy and is due to give birth to their child on Thursday, 7 November.

When Eden and Hoover decided to start a family, they shared a desire to get pregnant with one of their embryos. Last year, the couple went through the egg retrieval process, and in February, Hoover became pregnant.

Eden and Hoover started dating in 2015 and got married in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Trisha Yearwood in 2022. Plus, Garth Brooks sang them down the aisle.

While Eden already has exciting things going on at home, next month, she’ll appear at this year’s CMA Fest and Nashville Pride Festival. She’s currently promoting the Dave Audé remix of her song, Outlaw Love, which was originally released on the EP of the same name in July 2023.

Last year, Eden spoke to Billboard’s Tetris Kelly about queer representation in country music at the GLAAD Media Awards.

Eden said, “Being a queer human and a country artist for so long, I never thought my lives would be able to collide, so to be here as exactly who I am means so much. It means that we’re moving forward and that we’re moving forward as a community, as a genre and as a humanity of people.”

“I feel we move a little slower than other genres,” she continued. “But I feel so embraced by country music, and I’m just so excited that now kids in small towns who feel queer and feel under-represented now feel like they can be represented. Not only by me but by T.J. Osborne [and] Brandi Carlile, and it’s just so great to see queer people in the country music space.”

On Garth Brooks walking her and Hoover down the aisle, Eden told Kelly, “That’s just another moment of, like, ‘wow’. It’s incredible to watch these icons… When you say Garth Brooks, you mean country music, so to have someone that influential stand behind marriage and love of all kinds is really putting action to the words ‘Love is Love’.”
