Brantley Gilbert paused his recent show at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort Event Centre after a security guard reportedly failed to help a fan who had passed out in front of him.
The alleged incident occurred on Saturday, 7 June, at the North Carolina venue. American Songwriter reports that a woman in the audience fainted as Gilbert performed Son Of The Dirty South.
Gilbert reportedly urged security and medical personnel to support the woman, but he expressed his disappointment upon spotting a security guard who stood by as the incident unfolded.
Addressing the security guard from the stage, the country rocker paused the show and said in his microphone, “Let me explain something to you. I hate to embarrass you, but it don’t do you no good to stand here with a uniform on if you ain’t going to do shit. Go on somewhere. Bye.”
In footage captured by a fan on TikTok, Gilbert continued, “Got 10,000 people in security shirts and just gonna fuckin’ stand there.”

In September, Brantley Gilbert released his highly anticipated seventh album, Tattoos. Featuring a Jelly Roll co-write on the track Over When We’re Sober, the album contains special guests Ashley Cooke, Justin Moore, Struggle Jennings, Demun Jones, and Gary LeVox.
He said of the album, “All my albums, they capture a chapter of my life. If somebody wants to know who I am, what I’ve been through and where I stand, they can start at the beginning and listen through, and that’s why it was undeniable that Tattoos should be the title – because my tattoos do the same thing.
“People get ‘em for a lot of reasons, but for most of us, tattoos talk about our victories and losses, our struggles and the whole nine. I was one of those kids who had to learn the hard way. But if I would’ve listened to the advice of others, I don’t know I would have ended up where I am.”
