Bluesfest Confirms Two More Major Tours Alongside Big Supports

UPDATE: The Doobie Brothers have added a new show at Sydney's State Theatre on April 4. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, October 28, at 9am!

Music lovers across Australia will get a taste of the massive 2023 Bluesfest line-up next April when headliners and more perform intimate festival sideshows.

The latest round of tours announced for festival acts will see the classic line-up of The Doobie Brothers, back together after 25 years, performing two shows in Sydney at the State Theatre, offering up a setlist that spans more than two hours and includes all their hits.

The Soul Rebels, joined by friends Talib Kweli and GZA of Wu-Tang Clan fame, have confirmed an incredible double bill alongside multi-Grammy winner Robert Glasper, while Larkin Poe reveal their re-scheduled shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Additionally, two previously confirmed Bluesfest tours have gotten even bigger.

Fresh from her Album of the Year win at Nashville’s Americana Music Awards, Allison Russell joins Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit at his highly anticipated Sydney and Melbourne shows, as Los Angeles favourites Vintage Trouble sign on for Marcus King’s tour.

Only last week, Bluesfest unveiled its second artist announcement, with Counting Crows, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Vintage Trouble and The Doobie Brothers joining an already-packed bill featuring Mavis Staples, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Kaleo, and Lucinda Williams, as well as Aussie heavy-hitters Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jon Stevens, The Cat Empire, and many more.
