Australian country music artists are rallying in support to help raise much needed funds for the 'Hats Off To Rural Aid' charity drive.

For over 20 years, Toyota Australia has helped raise funds for regional and rural communities through its iconic Toyota Hat Giveaway. Due to the cancellation of this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival, the initiative couldn’t go ahead so many Australian country music artists are rallying in support to help raise much needed funds for the 'Hats Off To Rural Aid' charity drive.

Golden Guitar winner Andrew Swift said in a video via Facebook, “You may not know this but over the past 20 years at the TCMF, Toyota Australia has been raising funds for rural communities through those Toyota hats – you see those straw hats that everyone ends up signing? Yeah, they’re not just for fun, they help people out!”

The McClymonts also shared a video, saying, "We’ve teamed up with Toyota Australia and Rural Aid to help raise money for regional and rural Aussie communities who need our help, and you can get involved!”

Fanny Lumsden, Sammy White, Rachael Fahim and Gina Jeffreys also all showed their support.

Rural Aid is a charity that has supported farmers and rural communities affected by drought, fire, and flood since 2015, to become one of Australia’s largest rural charities and is founded on the principles of compassion, hope, reverence, and determination. Following the highly successful Buy a Bale campaign, this charity is committed to supporting and empowering rural communities to rebuild, repair, and thrive both during and after natural disasters.

Rural Aid will be taking donations until February 19, 2022 AEST. Last year, the initiative alone raised $34,000. All donations will go directly to Rural Aid and will be used to provide financial assistance, provide water for consumption and livestock, and provide counseling.
