APRA AMCOS today revealed the lucky artists sharing in over $100k in their 2022 Professional Development Awards.
The songwriting rights organisation aims to provide a $10,000 cash injection at a pivotal time in artists' careers and has selected ten recipients across all genres of music.
This year's recipients are:

Danzal Baker aka Baker Boy – Smugglers of Light Music and Media Award
Popular contemporary recipient, the Gold Coast's Beckah Amani is gearing up for a big 2022 after her previous two singles gained critical acclaim and support from triple j Unearthed, with the award coming at the perfect time as she readies her new EP.

Baker Boy took home the Smugglers of Light Music and Media Award of $12,000 from the foundation set up by Australian composer and conductor Nigel Westlake in memory of his son Eli Westlake.
The awards were judged by an amazing panel including Jenny Morris, Dave Ruby Howe, Yve Blake, Brooke McClymont, Adalita, Pip Norman, Nina Las Vegas, Joel Ma and John Ferris.
