Tamworth-born, New South Wales South Coast-based artist Andy Golledge will release his second album, Young, Dumb & Wild, on Friday, 19 April.
The highly anticipated follow-up to his 2022 debut album, Strength To A Queen, arrives after his first album surpassed even the loftiest expectations, winning the AIR Award for Best Independent Country Album/EP.
In addition to the win, Strength To A Queen charted #3 on ARIA’s Top Vinyl Albums and #4 on ARIA’s Australian Country Albums. The album was also nominated for Best Country Album at the 2022 ARIA Awards and Best Alternative Country Album at last year’s CMAA Golden Guitar Awards.
His second album will journey through life’s changes – including ageing, finding new love and settling in new environments – and nowhere is that clearer than the first single, which just happens to be the title track.
Young, Dumb & Wild is the second taste of the album, following the already-released Country Band, released last year.
Golledge said about his new single, “It’s anything but a song about being young, dumb and wild; it's more about holding onto that inner child that helps you create more freely. It reflects my efforts to come to terms with performance anxiety and setting myself free on stage.”

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ryan Miller at Sydney’s Hercules Street Studios and promises to be another collection of “Alt-Country-esque Dad Rock” songs. You can pre-order/pre-save Young, Dumb & Wild (the album) here.
Golledge won’t just be releasing new music this year – he’s set to appear in the upcoming Stan original series, Thou Shall Not Steal, alongside Miranda Otto (Lord Of The Rings, The Clearing), Noah Taylor (Game Of Thrones, Peaky Blinders), Will McDonald (Heartbreak High, Young Rock) and Sherry-Lee Watson (Heartbreak High).
Golledge was signed to I OH YOU’s roster in 2019, with DMA’S members Matt Mason and Johnny Took describing him as “the craziest voice in Sydney”.
Following his performance at the 2022 edition of Splendour In The Grass, Golledge was named “the crossover hit of the festival” in a The Music review of the three-day event.
