"Some of you worked it out... it was just a bit of April Fool’s Day fun!"

Andrew Swift, with a little help from Countrytown and KIX Country, pulled an epic April Fool’s Day prank on Blake Dantier.
Sharing a mock single cover for the track Pool Party For One, which features Dantier in a pool with a pool noodle and a glass in hand, Swift captioned, “It was an absolute pleasure to co-write this one with Blake Dantier, Cass Hopetoun and Zac Watson while sitting around the pool in Tamworth this year! So good to see it out in the world! Happy release day Blake!”
He added the hashtags “#blakedantier #releaseday #poolpartyforone #countrymusic #certifiedbanger #cowrite #newmusic #newsingle” for maximum believability.
Dantier took it in jest by joining in in the fun. As well as sharing the mock single cover on socials, he wrote, “The first teaser from my new triple album, Summer Splash. 38 tracks of fun, sun and rum!!”
Watson added, “I feel [Blake Dantier] is swimming in the deep end of our hearts on this one #blessed,” while Dantier’s wife and fellow country music artist Hopetoun replied, “Yiewwww go team! Proud of my beachside babe of a husband. I mean, that rash shirt.”

The fake release had people fooled including James Johnston who commented, “Okay this got me good! I searched everyone, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube! All jokes aside, you’ve just created the best hype for a song in years! You need to go write this song and put it out asap.”
Swift replied, “Haha next time I’m singing along to your latest single I’ll be singing “I got him good”,” referencing Johnston’s current single GOT IT GOOD, which peaked at #1 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart.
Swift finally came clean the following day, April 2nd. “Some of you worked it out, unfortunately this song does not exist, it was just a bit of April fool’s day fun,” he shared.
In terms of honest, true releases, Swift’s upcoming third album, Lightning Strikes and Neon Nights will drop on April 28. Collaborating with new and familiar faces such as Phil Barton, Travis Collins, Tenille Townes, Gretta Ziller, Taylor Moss, Alys Ffion and his girlfriend Simone Sordello, the album has a more overall contemporary feel to it than past Swift releases. Produced by Matt Fell, it also features his hits Young Lovers, The Good Old Days and You and Me And a Bottle Of Whiskey.
