Adventurer, former doctor Johnathan LaPaglia, and country music singer Amber Lawrence have signed on to be ambassadors for the RFDS (Queensland Section) and Rescue Swag.

Rescue Swag, the most versatile first aid kit on the planet, is Aussie designed and owned by the RFDS (Queensland Section), with 100% of profits helping support RFDS to deliver vital healthcare and services to people in regional, rural, and remote communities.

Together, LaPaglia and Lawrence are launching the Outback Explorer Competition, the perfect opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts and content creators to showcase their love for the Aussie wilderness and win incredible prizes.

Entrants are encouraged to capture and share their experiences of Australia's diverse landscapes and natural wonders. From the rugged red deserts of the outback to the crystal-clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the lush rainforests of the Daintree, there is no shortage of stunning locations to explore and showcase in your videos. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just starting, the competition is open to all and offers a great opportunity to share your love of the Aussie wilderness.

The competition launches on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, and runs till Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Prizes include a cash prize of $10,000, GoPro HERO11 Black Minis, and Rescue Swag first aid kits.

LaPaglia, who has a deep passion for the outdoors and the Australian landscape, says, "From my work as a physician, I understand the importance of having reliable medical supplies and support in remote areas. I am excited to be a part of this competition that celebrates the beauty of the Australian outback and raises awareness for the RFDS and their vital work in providing healthcare and services to people in regional, rural, and remote communities. I know from experience that the work of the RFDS is essential.

"I'm also excited to see what people will capture; the Australian wilderness is so diverse, and I can't wait to see the different perspectives and experiences people will share through this competition."

Lawrence adds, "As a country music artist, I'm always on the road, providing music while exploring Australia's beautiful and remote corners. Often I travel alone, or I'm responsible for a car full of musicians, so either way, Rescue Swag gives me extra peace of mind while out there, giving me the confidence to immerse myself in the stunning Australian landscape.

"I'm proud to partner with the RFDS (Queensland Section) and Rescue Swag, who not only share my passion for the great outdoors but continue to provide vital healthcare and support to people in regional, rural, and remote communities."
