Academy Of Country Music Announces 2026 Honourees: Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church & More

The Academy of Country Music Honours ceremony will take place this August.

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) has announced the honourees who will be celebrated at this year’s 19th Academy of Country Music Honours.

Honourees have been decided for several categories, and include entertainers and key industry figures such as Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church, Brett James, Bill Anderson, The Carter Family, Leslie Fram, Mike Curb, Scott Zolke, C2C: Country to Country, and the Paramount+ hit television series, Landman.

The Academy of Country Music Honours ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 19 August, at The Pinnacle in Nashville. Carly Pearce will host the evening for the sixth year in a row, with Parker McCollum co-hosting for the first time. More presenters and performers will be announced soon.

Kacey Musgraves is set to receive the ACM Spirit Award. The award is inspired by the career of Merle Haggard and has previously been presented to the likes of Chris Stapleton, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Cody Johnson, and others, including the next honouree.

Eric Church will take home this year’s ACM Lifting Lives Award, an award that honours the contributions of Gary Haber. He’s receiving the award thanks to his support for others and large-scale disaster relief fundraising efforts following Hurricane Helene.

Church showed support for the North Carolina community by hosting his Concert for Carolina, co-organised with Luke Combs, and donating all funds from his song, Darkest Hour. Plus, his charity Chief Cares supports those in need. Previous recipients include Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and more.

Brett James and The Carter Family will be honoured posthumously with the ACM Poet’s Award, Europe’s biggest music country music festival, C2C: Country to Country, will receive the International Award, Bill Anderson and Mike Curb will receive the Icon Award, Scott Zolke will take home the ACM Service Award, Leslie Fram will be named the Lift Every Voice Award winner, and Landman will receive the ACM Film Award, which honours a television series of film that prominently showcases country music.

Plus, Ella Langley—named Artist-Songwriter of the Year—ACM Songwriter of the Year winner Jessie Jo Dillon, and ACM Studio Recording Award and Industry Award winners will be honoured on the night.
