In a landmark moment for country music down under, APRA AMCOS has teamed up with Nashville powerhouse Big Loud for the first time ever to launch a new edition of its flagship songwriting initiative, SongHubs.
Set to take place from 2–4 September at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, the Big Loud SongHubs will see 18 top-tier songwriters from Australia and Nashville collaborate on creating fresh, commercially viable country tracks.
Among the headline participants is Brisbane native and now Nashville-based songwriter Jordan Dozzi, whose name appears in the credits for global stars like Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, ERNEST, Seaforth, and Jordan Davis. He’ll be joined by fellow Big Loud writer and hitmaker Jacob Durrett, marking his first visit to Australia.
“Australia will always be home, so having the chance to return and work alongside both established and emerging Aussie artists is a huge privilege,” Dozzi says.
Big Loud Australia Label Manager Johnno Keetels echoes the excitement, highlighting the calibre of talent coming together for the camp. “Jordan Dozzi and Jacob Durrett are two of the most exciting songwriters in Nashville right now, responsible for billions of global streams across multiple genres, writing monster hits for some of the biggest artists on the planet.”

“Jordan grew up in Brisbane, and it's always a joy to have him back in town. His growing impact on the standard of songwriting in Australia shouldn't be underestimated, and for Jacob Durrett to be coming to Australia for the first time to write is a massive win. There will be some world class songs written over these three days, of that I have no doubt.” says Keetels.
Australian artists selected for the program include Briana Dinsdale, James Johnston and Kaylee Bell, who will work in teams to create new music with potential for global success.
Since launching in 2013, SongHubs has brought together over 2,000 songwriters from Australia and New Zealand across more than 30 international locations. The program has evolved from a simple writing camp to a prestigious platform that has birthed over 6,000 songs, in languages ranging from Māori to Korean, and featuring collaborators like Briggs, Courtney Barnett, Sarah Aarons, G Flip, and Troye Sivan.
For APRA AMCOS, the country-focused edition at BIGSOUND 2025 couldn’t come at a better time.
“A collaboration between SongHubs and Big Loud is a dream alliance for our country music songwriters,” says Adam Townsend, Director of Writer Services at APRA AMCOS.
“With Big Loud’s reputation as a powerhouse behind some of the most influential and widely celebrated country releases of recent years, we’re incredibly fortunate to bring this partnership to life at BIGSOUND this year. SongHubs provides a collaborative experience like no other that creates the perfect environment to work with other songwriters to learn, create and hopefully release commercially successful new music together.”
