What?

Australian Folk Group of the Year Finalists MZAZA present The Birth and Death of Stars - A captivating evening of award-winning folk music, collage animation and theatrical storytelling.

This extraordinary production combines enchanting melodies, rare and exotic instruments, and mesmerizing animated visuals to create an experience that’s as beautiful to watch as it is to hear. You’ll be transported to another cosmic realm with Balkan and French-inspired music, stunning visuals, and compelling storytelling exploring what connects us to the world and each other.

Blurring the boundaries between music and theatre, the show is peppered with references to Greek mythology and astronomy, bringing MZAZA’s award-winning soundtrack to life in a thrilling display of lights, animation, and performance. Guided by French vocalist Pauline Maudy, the ensemble fuses soaring harmonies, vocals in French and English, accordion, violin, shah kaman, percussion, double bass and guitar to conjure a feast for the senses.
