DJ, host, puppeteer, actor, and singer Mon has been performing the ‘Retro-fabulous’ character Monski Mouse at festivals and venues around the world for 33 years. Her hugely successful early childhood show, Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall has been selling out Edinburgh Fringe and Adelaide Fringe since 2012 following which she developed the hit all-live singing Baby Cabaret to equal acclaim.
Jono Lattin is a singer-songwriter progressing global human development goals through folk-country styled transcultural, otherworldly music. In 2023 Jono launched the album ‘Heart Breaks Itself’ with band Blackpenny and, with history with acts including the Cannanes, Youth Group, Simpletons, tours, releases including a vinyl release with Howling Beagle Records, as well as work with Monski’s Baby Cabaret, Jono will perform tonight initially as a solo artist prior to the main performance.
Together tonight they launch western Adelaide’s hottest new emerging original duo -
Moko & Lattin - in which for the first time Mon will step from behind the Mouse to share never-before heard personal songs and skills as bassplayer, and songwriter, and Jono will debut cocktail duets together with Mon – characters evolving to inclusive, harmonious connections with buzzy, true songs on the tawdry tizz of lives beyond the stage.
