Vixens Of Fall have shared the brand new music video for their fiery new single Mugshot, premiering exclusively on Countrytown today.
The music video was produced by Jake Davey and shot on the Sunshine Coast. The song spins a “cautionary tale to never, ever do a Vixen wrong!”
The music video showcases Vixens Of Fall’s playfulness and meticulous attention to detail. Full of twists the music video, which is reminiscent of The Chicks’ Goodbye Earl, tells the story of three chic women executing the perfect plan to get away with murder. Cheekily insinuating “a sharp icicle might just be the perfect solution to a problematic partner. Proof that melts away; what a perfect crime”.
Amongst a shadowy pine forest, the authorities stumble across The Vixens brushing up on their gardening skills and planting trees… or so it seems. With no cold hard proof to lock the Vixens up they echo the sentiment to never ever do a Vixen wrong, these ladies always know how to keep things perfectly buried.
Discussing the lyrics of the song “So bye, bye, bye / Got away with it this time” is belted during the song’s playful chorus the Vixens Of Fall clarified ”we are usually lovers not fighters! Though there is something extremely cathartic about chanting adios (bye, bye, bye) to a lover that wronged you.”
Mugshot was penned by the Vixens alongside Emily Hatton and produced by none other than Rod McCormack (Paul Kelly, The Wolfe Brothers) the single which was released on Friday November 22 has already been added to the editorial playlist on Apple Music ‘Aussie Country’.
