1 October 2025 | 7:00 am | Megan Hopkins

"If one person can listen to my song, relate, and know that someone else is going through that experience with them, then I’ve done my job. That’s the goal for this song.”

Trinity Woodhouse returns with a deeply personal and moving new single, Pills. Known for her powerful storytelling, Woodhouse peels back another emotional layer in what she describes as her most vulnerable song to date.

The track was produced by Josh Schuberth at Fireswamp Studios and features Gabi Louise, who recently joined Keith Urban on the Australian leg of his national HIGH AND ALIVE World Tour, on the fiddle.

Drawing from her own experiences with mental health, Pills confronts the challenges of seeking treatment and the non-linear path of healing. For Woodhouse, it was crucial to be honest about the setbacks and uncertainties involved in recovery. “Pills is one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever written,” she shares. “It’s been so helpful to me in my journey towards accepting the place that I’m at with my mental health, and everything I’ve gone through to get to where I am... If one person can listen to my song, relate, and know that someone else is going through that experience with them, then I’ve done my job.”

The music video, which features dancer Maggie Smith, brings Woodhouse’s emotions to life in a really powerful way. A diary becomes a key part of the story, acting as the connecting piece between Woodhouse and Smith, as she moves through the thoughts and feelings expressed within it. “I'm so, so proud of this video. It came out exactly how I wanted it to” says Woodhouse. “The clip reflects what the song means to me… struggling deeply in a place that is meant to be a safe space - my bedroom.”

Pills is Woodhouse at her most vulnerable: open, honest, and not afraid to show the messy parts.
