Shea Fisher has returned with the tender new single, Take Me Back To Texas. Today, Countrytown exclusively premieres the official music video ahead of the song’s release next week.
In the music video, Fisher embarks on a journey to a job in the big city when her heart actually yearns for the country life, with love, singing, and nature.
It’s a song simmering with nostalgia, with Fisher simultaneously playing the role of a woman missing her life and enjoying her time in Texas. Does the video have a happy ending? Indeed, it does. Like the video, Take Me Back To Texas provides a warm, safe embrace for anyone who needs it.
Take Me Back To Texas was co-written by Karyn Rochelle, Garth Brooks’ longtime harmony singer, and Jessie Jo Dillon (Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Post Malone), a Grammy Award-winning songwriter. It is the first taste of Fisher's musical comeback: Fisher is here to remind all women in music that motherhood and age aren’t hurdles to success.
She explained, “A year ago, I might’ve thought it was crazy to go on this whirlwind ride again, but I now see that if you have a passion, it doesn’t matter how old you are – you just have to make it happen.”

Take Me Back To Texas is Fisher’s first single in five years. Before her time away from music, the American-based Australian country singer achieved six #1 country singles in her home country, as well as a Top 20 CMT video in the US for Don’t Chase Me.
In the years since, Fisher has been raising her three children alongside her husband, world-champion rodeo cowboy Tyson Durfey. She’s also launched three businesses: Shea Michelle Buckles, Shea Baby children’s western clothing, and the online fitness and health program, Fit With Shea.
